-
Telephone System-
MedCorp uses a
Toshiba Digital PBX with automated attendant.
The phone system sits on a redundant backup
system with dual processors and dual programming
to provide a minimal down time if the phone
system should fail. The system uses 3 PRI fiber
optic phone circuits that offer a continuous
telephone feed. Our fiber optic phone lines sit
on a redundant SONET Ring that prevents phone
disruption by automatically rerouting the lines
on the SONET Ring.
-
Computer Aided Dispatching-
We utilize a computer aided dispatch system that
allows for accurate information collection from the
start of call intake through dispatching and
completion of the transport. Our system logs and
track all activities associated with the transport
including vehicle monitoring.
In
2008 MedCorp converted its entire fleet to the State
of Ohio Multi Agency Radio System. This system
provide all of our units 99.75% radio coverage
throughout the state allowing interoperability in
communications with other EMS providers, state
agencies, and municipalities in the event of a large
scale emergency.
Comments,
Questions, or Concerns: All comments or
concerns are fielded by a Communications Supervisor
on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This allows
for a uninterrupted communication between all
divisions to ensure expedient action is taken to
correct any problem. All complaints are noted
permanently in the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch)
